Inspired by nature, the Leaf collection by TON blends a minimal aesthetic with durability, resulting in a surprisingly lightweight seating collection. Designed by Italian studio E-ggs, the Leaf collection has a solid, steam bent frame with a molded plywood seat and back.

"The collection reflects our vision of trees—a solid foundation topped by delicate leaves. We have adapted these ideas into the forms of the chairs and barstools; made up of a supporting solid wood structure and the seat and backrest of optically lightweight, molded plywood," said Gaia Giotti of the Eggs designer duo when introducing the concept. Apart from the characteristics of trees themselves, the products have also been inspired by their shapes. "Specifically, the leaves, the theme can be found in the cross section of the backrest," she added.

Comprised of chairs, counter height stools, and barstools, the Leaf collection is available in either beech or white oak. Beech varieties are available in 8 standard wood stains, while white oak is offered with a natural oil to enrich the grain and warmth of the wood species. Upholstered models are also available.

The rear legs are formed using TON's manual wood-bending technologies, which have been used by the brand since 1861. This collection will be manufactured and finished in Europe by TON, who still operates in one of the original factories that produced the first Bentwood chairs. Each chair or barstool is made-to-order.

The entire collection has been tested to meet and exceed ANSI/BIFMA test standards and is backed by a 10-year structural warranty.
