Grand Rapids Chair is known for its super personalized and design forward chairs. I mean, chair is right in the name! But it’s no secret that we make high quality tables, too— tables for all occasions! Made from a variety of materials in an array of fresh designs, we’re sure to have just the right table for your project. Let’s talk tables!

Wood Tables

Classic and full of warmth, wood tables have been gathering places for millennia. They’re centerpieces of homes, sometimes passed down as heirlooms. A quality table can stick with us for generations, including in commercial settings. There’s something about a good wood table that continues to endure in designs everywhere.

Tabletops from Grand Rapids Chair Company are cut from lumber, glued into durable surfaces, sanded to perfection, and elegantly finished right in our manufacturing facility. The lumber we select from mills is some of the best there is. Maple is standard, but we also build tables from hickory, white oak, walnut, and mixed woods. We also offer laminate options.

With 16 different finishes, there’s sure to be a wood tone that will match the vibe of your interior, whether your space is moody and vintage or modern and breezy. With any of these wood tables, we also layer on an antimicrobial topcoat. Clean surfaces are essential to any space, but especially in dining spaces where taking proactive steps against microbes is a must.

Tables that are almost entirely made from wood in our portfolio include the Dylan Communal Table, the Andy Communal Table, and the Andrea Communal Table.

We also have the Lewis Coffee and Side Tables which are solid wood, but they’re smaller accent tables. Featuring steam-bent dowels, they look elegant on their own or nested together. They’re great for waiting areas, cozy corners, and more casual meeting spaces.

Mixed Wood and Steel Tables

Several our tables feature the same beautiful solid wood tabletops, but on strong steel frames. We have a great group of talented welders and a fast-paced assembly team at our Michigan factory. Quality is controlled right under our roof and all our product collections are tested to BIFMA standards of durability.

A fun part of the steel-based tables is that they can be powder coated for an extra bit of personal flare. Whether you’re specifying for a restaurant, a university, a hotel, an office, or any other space, with over 150+ colors to work with, you’re sure to find a powder coat that fits into your brand and design.

Tables like our Frankie Bar Table and Frankie Communal Table have extra thick rounded steel legs that really make the steel powder coat pop. They’re modern, with a strong personality. Tables like Brady are a little quieter, with thinner steel legs that have a square shape. They're sleek and subtle.

Pedestal Tables are always useful for seating smaller parties or filling in smaller spaces for maximum seating capacity. With a variety of bases fitted with glides for ease of movement, you can pick the shape best suited for your choice of seating, and the best height: dining, counter, and bar.

Outdoor Tables

Last, we have our outdoor table collections: Bowen and Opla. These tables are durable enough for the outdoors but stylish enough that they work perfectly in interiors as well. Made from steel and, in Bowen’s case, a wood alternative called ACRE, these are the tables that are going to hold up against weather conditions.

The Opla tables are both made from durable steel. The perforated tabletops come in a square and round shape. It’s such a classic garden or patio piece that will look good anywhere you set it. It can also be powder coated in any of our 150+ colors.

The Bowen Table comes in pedestal and communal designs. Steel hoop legs on the communal table look sleek and modern but with a classic slat tabletop, it still feels familiar. The tabletop is made from ACRE, a cutting-edge wood alternative. ACRE is material composed of upcycled rice hulls that has the look and feel of real wood, while being way more durable. Water resistant, pest resistant, fungi resistant, and rot resistant, this is going to last way longer than your standard wood picnic table.

These two table collections are built to withstand the outdoors, but they also fit into interiors or those very in fashion indoor/outdoor spaces that open and close.

We aren’t just a chair company; we’re also building better tables for you and your customers, clients, residents, or employees. Click here to see our selection of table designs you can specify for your space.
