Wood Finishes
Explore our 16 standard wood finishes, each designed to enhance the look and feel of the grain. These stains are available on our wood chairs and solid maple tables, with the exception of Black-No Grain and White No-Grain finishes, which are only available on seating.
Merano, Leaf and Bentwood are offered in a subset of wood finishes denoted with an asterisk.
Wood is an organic material and its color naturally changes over time from exposure to light. Applying a finish slows down the color change — the change in color is most noticeable with a Natural finish.
Solid Wood
Using the best, locally sourced timber, we sand and stain each board by hand. Maple tables and tops can be finished in any of our standard stains or a custom stain finish. Hickory, White Oak, Walnut and Mixed Wood are finished in a natural finish. Each table is finished with a low-sheen, antimicrobial topcoat to protect against spills, minor dings and bacteria growth.

Outdoor Surface Finishes
Designed to stand up to the outdoor elements. HDPE can be applied to Bowen & Rita Lounge Collections.
HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is a sustainable dimensional wood alternative made primarily from recycled post-consumer and post-industrial plastic materials that are diverted from the waste stream – and fully recyclable at the end of its useful life. As a high-performance yet low-maintenance material, HDPE is color stable and can withstand the harsh outdoor elements, never splintering, cracking or chipping.
